Vona and Ken McCandless

Kenneth and Vona McCandless of Grove City celebrated 60 years of marriage with an open house at Forestville United Methodist Church in Forestville May 24.

McCandless married the former Vona Bell on May 20, 1948, at Harrisville United Methodist Church, Harrisville. The Rev. Ohl officiated.

They have a daughter, Brenda Jamison of Durham, N.C. Their son, Larry McCandless, is deceased.

They also have four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

McCandless is retired from Slippery Rock University and West Penn Power Company. Mrs. McCandless is a homemaker.

The McCandlesses are members of Forestville United Methodist Church and have been very active in their church and community.
