I don't understand why the push for the mega drug store? Is there is no other place that this store could be placed? The two stores that would be affected by this transition are unique and a part of Butler.

Many people from Butler and beyond travel to Ruffles and Truffels to purchase the unique items carried in that store. I remember when the store was located in the old Butler Mall. Instead of taking her business and going to the Cranberry Area, the owner brought it to downtown Butler. And, again Butler is forcing this store owner to relocate once again. If this is the way we treat small business owners why would anyone else want to put their sweat and tears into a business and locate to Butler?

Is there going to be financial help for these businesses? Hmmm it sort of sounds like what Pittsburgh is doing to their small businesses on Fifth and Forbes. How is that going?

I for one will not be shopping at the new Rite Aid. It makes no sense with other drug stores more conveniant. Lets think of something unique to the area. A service that is offered no where else. It is time for council to think outside of the box.
