PITTSBURGH — Seneca Valley graduate and Milwaukee Brewers relief pitcher Zach Jackson got some work near his hometown Thursday night.

Pitching against the Pirates in PNC Park, the left-hander struck out Adam LaRoche with the bases loaded in the seventh inning before giving up a two-run single to Chris Gomez.

He worked a perfect eighth inning, but the Pirates won 8-4.

It was Jackson's first professional appearance in Pittsburgh and he left more than 20 tickets for family and friends.
