Julia Jordan, 96, of Coolspring Township, Mercer County, died at 7:55 p.m. Saturday at the Grove City Medical Center.

Born in Acosta, May 13, 1911, she was the daughter of Mike and Susan Burger Jordon.

She retired in 1976 from the American Standard Co. in Swissvale. She was a Catholic.

Surviving are two sisters, Katherine L. Booze of Chippewa and Ann J. Lakins of Ashville, N.C.; and two brothers, Charles F. Jordan of Chippewa and Fred R. Jordon of Mercer.

She was preceded in death by five brothers, Michael, infant brother Mike, Jimmy, John and Andrew; and two sisters, Susan Zirot and Mary Harper.

<B>JORDAN</B> — Friends of Julia Jordan, who died Saturday, April 19, 2008, will be received from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday and from 9 to 10 a.m. Wednesday at the <B>Smith Funeral Home,</B> 421 New Castle St., Slippery Rock, where services will follow at 10 a.m. Wednesday. The Rev. Pamela Gardner, pastor of the Slippery Rock United Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial will be at the Slippery Rock Cemetery, Slippery Rock Township.
