The Slupes in 1958

George and Rose Ann Slupe of Lyndora celebrated 50 years of marriage with a family dinner at the Meridian Vet's Club on May 3.

Slupe married the former Rose Ann Jurysta on May 3, 1958, in Pennsylvania.

They have six children, Kevin Slupe of Yukon, Okla.; Kimberly Hirsch of Butler; Kirby Slupe of Oklahoma City, Okla.; Kathy Slupe of Butler; Kelly Jenkins of Connoquenessing; and Karen Slupe of Butler.

They also have nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.Slupe is retired from Robinson Industries. He also served in the U.S. Army and is a member of the Meridian Vet's Club. Mrs. Slupe is a homemaker.The couple enjoy spending time with their family.
