James and Mary Lou Kristophel

James and Mary Lou Kristophel of Fombell will celebrate 50 years of marriage with a family luncheon at the Connoquenessing Country Club on June 1. The couple also will celebrate with a fellowship after the church service May 25 at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church.

Kristophel married the former Mary Lou Peffer on May 29, 1958, at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Harmony, where they are still members.

They have five sons, Mark of Renfrew, Daniel of Evans City, Richard of Savannah, Ga., Steven of Prospect and Robert of Wampum.They also have 13 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.Mr. and Mrs. Kristophel are retired, and he works seasonally for Sally's Cider Press in Harmony.
