Margaret 'Peg' Smith
Margaret "Peg" Smith, 93, formerly of Rimersburg, died Wednesday morning at Clarview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center near Sligo.
Born May 16, 1914, in Madison Township, Clarion County, she was a daughter of Thomas and Ida Yates Campbell.
She was a 1932 graduate of Union High School, Rimersburg.
Mrs. Smith was a member of Rimersburg United Methodist Church and attended Golden Links Sunday school class and the Chestnut-Cherry Run Street Circle.
Surviving are two sons and their wives, Bill and Dorothy Smith of Atlanta, Texas, and Max and Marcia Smith of Baltimore, Md.; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; a great-great-granddaughter; two step-grandchildren; six step-great-grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Peg Campbell of Texarkana, Texas.
She was married April 25, 1934, to Melvin Smith, who died July 6, 1983. Mrs. Smith also was preceded in death by two brothers, Wallace and Leonard Campbell.
<B>SMITH </B>— Friends of Margaret "Peg" Smith, who died Wednesday, April 16, 2008, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at <B>Varner Funeral Home </B>of Rimersburg. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Brock Beveridge, her church pastor, officiating.
