Gary Wilbert Durnell

Gary Wilbert Durnell, 62, of Muddy Creek Township died at 8:05 a.m. Sunday at the Grove City Medical Center.

Born in New Castle, Nov., 2, 1945, he was the son of Lawrence Glenn Durnell and Ellen Winifred Carlstrom.

He was a truck driver for McClymonds Supply and Transit for 25 years.

Mr. Durnell was a Protestant.

He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and greatly enjoyed fishing with his grandchildren.

Surviving are his wife, Linda Lou Noland Durnell, whom he married Aug. 21, 1964; three sons and their wives, Jeffrey A. Durnell and Dawn of Butler, Gregory W. Durnell and Karla of Ellwood City and Mark A. Durnell and Jodi of Slippery Rock; a brother, Richard Durnell and his wife, Barbara, of Bethlehem, Ga.; and seven grandchildren, Deeanna, Jayde, Brayden, Colten, John, Kyle and Jessica.

<B>DURNELL</B> — Friends of Gary Wilbert Durnell, who died Sunday, April 13, 2008, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the <B>Smith Funeral Home</B>, 421 New Castle St., Slippery Rock. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Thomas Meling, pastor of the Zion Baptist Church of Worth Township, officiating. Burial will be at the Zion Baptist Cemetery, Worth Township.Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
