Edward S. Taylor
Edward S. Taylor Sr., 77, of Butler, formerly of Mars, died Wednesday at Sugar Creek Rest, Sugar Creek Township.
Born April 25, 1930, in Sharpsburg, he was the son of Rudolph and Helen Kline Taylor.
An Army Korean War veteran, he served in Korea where he received the Purple Heart.
Mr. Taylor has lived in Butler for the past 10 years and in the Mars area most of his life.
He was self-employed in the scrap metal business, and he enjoyed fishing and Steelers football.
He is survived by all of his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, two brothers, Daniel of Florida and Richard J. of Cheswick; and two sisters, Audrey Carricato and Sandra of Sharpsburg.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Cynthia J. Huffman Taylor.

Taylor, who died Wednesday, April 9, 2008, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday in the <B>SIWICKI-YANICKO FUNERAL HOME</B>, 23 McKrell Road, Russellton, West Deer Township.Private burial and service will be in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Cecil Township.The family requests all contributions in lieu of flowers be made to The Siwicki-Yanicko Funeral Home, PO Box 21 Russellton, PA 15076 to help defray the cost of the funeral.
