Jackson

Marjorie J. Funkhouser Jackson, 89, of Parker died at 10:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Parker Personal Care Home following an illness.

Born Nov. 4, 1918, in Argentine, Butler County, she was the daughter of William and Bertha Davis Funkhouser.

She was a faithful member of St. Mary's Our Lady of the Snows Catholic Church and the Altar Rosary Society of the church in Parker.

She retired after more than 25 years at the former Glass Containers Corp. in Parker, and was a member of the Glass Bottle Blowers Association at Parker.

She was the tax collector for Parker City for years, and also was the deputy registrar of births and deaths during the terms of the late Mame Geary.

Surviving are a daughter, Lana Jackson Mardis and her husband, James, of New Castle; three sons, William Thomas "Tom" Jackson and his wife, Rose, and Richard A. "Dick" Jackson, all of Parker and James A. "Jim" Jackson and his wife, Norma, of Butler; six granddaughters; a number of great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews; a brother, William "Bud" Funkhouser of Pittsburgh; two sisters, Mrs. Will (Vera) Ferguson of Vero Beach, Fla., and Mrs. Charlotte Fisher of Charleroi; a sister-in-law, Stella Jackson Ford of Grove City; and a brother-in-law, Tim Edwards of Grove City.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Joseph "Skip" Jackson, who died in February 1975.
