All I'm saying is, I'm totally sick of the public whining about teachers making too much money, and going on and on about it saying they should make less. They "say" they care about the kids. If they did, they wouldn't ignore their obligations as tax payers who once received free educations, and would realize that we need the best and the brightest teaching our children so the U.S. can be competitive in the Global marketplace. Again, potential teachers know it's not a part time job and they know the salary before going in is low. If they don't like kids and teaching, they would choose a different major.

Unfortunately, many of the best and brightest do choose another profession because they can get paid more.

Janet - I would recommend that you contain your comments to specific instances where you feel a teacher or teachers were wrong. Broad-brush comments about "all teachers" are counterproductive.

By the way - I'm not a teacher, but I play one on TV :-)
