Barbara and Joseph Macurak

Joseph and Barbara Macurak celebrated 55 years of marriage with a family dinner on Sunday.

Macurak married the former Barbara Gajewski on May 2, 1953, at St. George Antiochian Orthodox Church in Allentown.

They have six children, Joseph Macurak of Karns City, James Macurak of Karns City, Jerry Macurak of Bruin, John Macurak of Marienville, Jeannette Macurak of Erie and Beverly Filges of Chicora.

They also have 10 grandchildren.

Macurak is retired from J.L. Steel in Pittsburgh. He is involved in the Republican Committee and farming.

Mrs. Macurak, as a homemaker, enjoys quilting.

The Macuraks are members of Mater Dolorosa Roman Catholic Church in Chicora.
