James and Mary Lou Ippolito

James and Mary Lou Ippolito of Butler will celebrate 55 years of marriage with a family dinner at the couple's home on May 9.

Ippolito married the former Mary Lou Winters on May 9, 1953, at St. Michael Roman Catholic Church in Butler.

They have three children, Catherine Shaffer of Erie, James Ippolito of Charleston, Ill., and Michael Ippolito of Butler.

They also have four grandchildren.

The couple are retired and are members of St. Michael Roman Catholic Church in Butler.
