Ruth Garmer

Ruth Garmer of Frazer Township, Allegheny County, celebrated her 100th birthday April 27 with an open house with friends and family at the Frazer fire hall.

The former Ruth Felsing was born April 27, 1908, in Clinton Township. She married Arthur "Ted" Garmer on December 15, 1928. He is deceased.

She has three children, Theda Fredley of West Deer Township, Allegheny County; Arthur Garmer Jr. of Springdale; and Alvin Garmer of Frazer Township, Allegheny County. She also has 10 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Mrs. Garmer enjoys cooking, baking, gardening and genealogy.

She is a member of Bull Creek Presbyterian Church.
