Felix

Thomas Denver Felix, 87, of Blom Road, Grove City, died at 6:10 p.m. Wednesday at Orchard Manor.

He was born in Ohio to Clark and Brenia Stump Felix.

A World War II Army veteran, he was a lifetime member of the American Legion and the Disabled American Veterans.

He attended North Washington School with several of his siblings.

Mr. Felix lived and worked in northern Butler County area for years. He had worked for several coal companies as a heavy equipment operator, including the Sunbeam and the Lucas Coal companies. His expertise as a mechanic was greatly respected. Also he worked at Hunter Truck Sales in Eau Claire.

He loved the outdoors and especially enjoyed his lifelong passion of farming. He had always enjoyed working with horses and took great pride in his gardening. He had a passion for the Harley and Indian motorcycles, but not just for riding as he had a great mechanical talent with bikes. His latest venture was his dump truck, and he was happy to be hauling a load.

He was a member of Church of the Beloved Disciple, Grove City.

Surviving are his wife, Ellen B. Felix, who he married Oct. 8, 1945, at St. Alphonsus in Murrinsville; a son, Larry Felix and his wife, Jan, of the Parker area; a daughter, Ann Felix of Grove City, where he made his home; his much beloved grandchildren, Tom Felix and his wife, Amy, and Larilyn and her husband, Steve Milks, all of Emlenton, and Mike Felix and his wife, Jill, of the Clintonville area; and his treasured great-grandchildren, Kim and Nicole Felix, Melissa Elicker, Heather and Cody Griffin, Emily, Ashley and Chole Milks and Taylor Felix.

Also surviving are his sisters, Grace Jamison of Cherry Valley, Carolyn Weissen of Sewickley and Mae Baird of Slidell, La.; a sister-in-law, Ruth Felix; and several nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors.

He was preceded in death by a son, William G. Felix and his wife, Barbara Dallos Felix; four brothers, George, John, Carl and Denver Felix; and four sisters, Annie Howard, Josephine Spencer, Edna Renia Maurice and Betty Stewart.

Cunningham Funeral Home, 306 Bessemer Ave, Grove City. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at Church of the Beloved Disciple, Grove City, with the Rev.
