Roy T. Chuck
Roy T. Chuck, 81, formerly of Uniontown and Center Township, died Monday at Manor Care-Stratford Hall, Richmond, Va.
Born Dec. 8, 1926, in Uniontown, he was the son of Wallace and Mabel Ritenour Chuck.
He graduated from Uniontown High School in 1944 and served with the Army.
Mr. Chuck began his banking career with Gallatin National Bank and later served as branch manager and assistant vice president of Mellon Bank.
He was a member and past president of the Butler Rotary Club. He also belonged to the Great Bethel Baptist Church, the Meyersdale Lodge 554 F&AM, the Lodge of Perfection Valley of New Castle, the Uniontown Commandery, the Knights Templar, Hebron Royal Arch Chapter 272, the Cambria Counsel 32 R&SM and the Scottish Rites Bodies of New Castle.
Surviving are his children, Douglas R. Chuck of Richmond and Diane Wolfe and her husband, Jeffery, of Matthews, N.C.; two granddaughters Megan and Brianna Wolfe; a brother, Walter Chuck of Bradenton, Fla.; and a sister, Ruth Boyd of Sumter, S.C.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Geraldine Frankhouser Chuck; two brothers, Joseph and James Chuck; and three sisters, Oma Blake, Florence Connor and Bertha Kistler.
<B>CHUCK </B>— Friends of Roy T. Chuck, who died Monday, March 31, 2008, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the <B>ANDREW D. FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME</B>, 80 Morgantown St., Uniontown. Visitation also will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home where a service celebrating his life will follow at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Greg Cooper officiating. Burial will follow at the Sylvan Heights Cemetery.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to Hospice Community Care, 10128 W.
