Riverview Intermediate Unit in Clarion, Northwest Tri-County Intermediate in Erie and ARIN Intermediate Unit in Kittanning were recognized with the Extra-Mile Award from the Northwest Pennsylvania Association of Educational Communications and Technology.

The Extra-Mile Award is given to those who go beyond what is expected in their normal duties to provide technology opportunities to students. The intermediate units were recognized for creating a wide area network.
