12:14 a.m. Wednesday — Charles Rock, 60, of Center Township was arrested for driving under the influence on North Main Street.Wednesday — Four tires on two vehicles on West Brady Street were flattened overnight.One of the vehicles, a car owned by Paul Winters of Butler, had three tires punctured. The other vehicle, a pickup truck parked in the driveway of John Appel's home, had one of its tires slashed.Wednesday — Someone overnight used a BBgun to shoot out the rear window of a pickup truck at the Cottage Hill Avenue home of William Jr. and Margaret Harper.
Tuesday — Alarge amount of copper tubing and pipes was stolen from the basement of a Hooker Road home in Concord Township. The theft occurred between March 16 and Tuesday.Monday — A would-be burglar between 6 and 10:15 p.m. tried to pry open the front door of a Baumgart Lane home in Oakland Township.Saturday — An undisclosed amount of money was taken from a cash register at King Cones on Evans Road in Connoquenessing Township. The theft occurred between 6 and 8 p.m.
2:04 a.m. Wednesday — Three Rimersburg men were allegedly caught trying to steal two catalytic converters at a Perry Township scrap yard.Police said the owner of Keene's Scrap Metal on Route 368 confronted the suspects, who tried to get inside a trailer used as an officer at the business. The owner held the men there until police arrived.Charged with attempted burglary, attempted criminal trespass, conspiracy and possession of instruments of crime are Jeremy Lewis, 19; Matthew Gruber, 19; and Curtis Hughes, 20.
4:45 p.m. Monday — An Ohio man stopped for speeding on Interstate 80 in Wolf Creek Township was arrested after police found a stolen handgun inside his vehicle.Yahia Joseph, 45, of Cleveland is charged with illegal possession of a firearm, carrying a firearm without a permit, receiving stolen property, driving with a suspended license and speeding. Joseph is free on $50,000 bail.1:40 a.m. Saturday — Paul M. Broskey, 25, of Slippery Rock was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Route 258 in Liberty Township.
