Wecht wants judge's decision overturned
PITTSBURGH — Attorneys for celebrity pathologist Cyril Wecht are asking the 3rd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals to prevent the retrial of the former Allegheny County Coroner on fraud and theft charges.
The motion filed Tuesday came a short time after U.S. District Judge Arthur Schwab ruled that retrying Wecht does not constitute double jeopardy.
