The Pitherses in 1958

Frank "Al" and Marlene Pithers of Butler celebrated 50 years of marriage with a reception at the church they were married in on April 19. Their son and daughter-in-law also arranged a Hawaiian cruise as an anniversary gift.

The former Marlene Davidson married Frank Pithers on April 19, 1958, at St. Peter Episcopal Church in Butler.

They have a son, David, of Butler.

Pithers is retired from Armco Steel. He enjoys sports, shopping and traveling.

Mrs. Pithers, as a retired child care provider, enjoys current events, playing cards, casinos and traveling.

The Pitherses are members of St. Peter Episcopal Church in Butler.
