Mary Christine Davis
Mary Christine Davis, 90, of West Park Road, Muddy Creek Township, died Sunday morning at Jameson Hospital, New Castle.
Born in Burton Township, Geauga County, Nov. 16, 1917, she was a daughter of Harley A. and Minnie Parker Johnson.
She retired in 1980 from the admitting office at the Trumbull Memorial Hospital, Warren, Ohio. As a young lady, she worked in real estate sales for years.
Mrs. Davis was baptized at the Zion Baptist Church in Worth Township, where she remained a member.
She enjoyed overseas traveling and visited the Holy Land three times.
Surviving are two stepdaughters, Carol J. Bohon of Cedar Bluff, Va., and Kathleen J. Neiper and her husband, Barry, of Portersville; six step-grandchildren, Russell Fleeger Jr., Daphne Harbour, Virginia Ellen Gillis, Heather Lambrecht and Steven and Craig Neiper; eight step-great-grandchildren; and a step-great-great grandson.
Her husband, Wendall Charles Davis, whom she married Oct. 7, 1978, died Dec. 8, 2002. A stepdaughter, Teena, and a brother, William, also preceded her in death.
<B>DAVIS</B>— Friends of Mary Christine Davis, who died Sunday, March 23, 2008, will be received from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at the <B>Smith Funeral Home</B>, 421 New Castle St., Slippery Rock. Services will follow at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. The Rev. Thomas Meling, her church pastor, will officiate. Burial will be at the Zion Baptist Cemetery, Worth Township.Memorial contributions may be made to the Zion Baptist Church.
