1:21 a.m. Wednesday — Robert Henry Wynn, 57, of Butler was charged with driving under the influence, failing to stop at a red light and driving on the wrong side of road after he allegedly drove through a red light on Chestnut Street and swerved into the oncoming lane of Pillow Street.
3:23 p.m. Wednesday — Tina M. Gibson, 31, and Sarah D. Anthony, 21, both of Butler, were each charged with retail theft and criminal conspiracy after they allegedly tried to leave Wal-Mart in Butler Commons with two shopping carts containing about 216 grocery and general merchandise items.
5:52 p.m. Thursday — A car driven by Beverly G. O'Hara-kiri, 68, of Butler and a pickup truck driven by William T. Dowling, 52, of Kittanning collided on Route 422 in Franklin Township. Both drivers, a juvenile passenger in O'Hara's car and passenger Derek E. Dowling, 43, of Ford City in Dowling's truck were wearing seat belts and were not injured. O'Hara was cited for violation of stop sign and yield sign laws.1:05 p.m. Wednesday — Someone stole two 14 feet by 2 feet sheets of aluminum scrap metal valued at $40 from outside the residence of Sondra J. Lyons on Shields Road in Mercer Township. Anyone with information should call police at 724-284-8100.2 p.m. Sunday — Numerous tools were found in a wooded area near Sunbury Road in Cherry Township. Anyone wishing to claim them should be able to describe the tools and their carrier and contact Cpl. Olczak at 724-284-8100.Noon Saturday — Someone stole a trim strip valued at $200 from a 1999 Cadillac belonging to Karen Munko of West Sunbury while it was parked at Wal-Mart In Butler Commons between April 12 and Saturday.
7:44 p.m. April 11 — Someone burglarized the home of Tammy McQuay on Creek Road in Springfield Township, taking unknown items, while she was incarcerated in Mercer County Prison.
7 a.m. Monday — Someone cut the padlock on a storage trailer at Priest Enterprises on Route 422 in Slippery Rock Township and removed several pieces of copper and brass.8 a.m. Monday — Someone stole a cast-iron wood burning stove with glass doors belonging to Dwayne C. Gibson of Slippery Rock from a demolition site along Sylvania Road in Scott Township between 5 p.m. April 19 and 8 a.m. Monday.
11 a.m. Wednesday — Two 16-year-old students at Union High School in Madison Township were charged with possession of marijuana on school property.
