Both Gremlins teams run past A-C Valley
Anthony Stimac won the 100- and 200-meter dashes and was a member of the winning 400 and 1,600 relays as the Karns City boys track team defeated A-C valley 113-33.
Chris Harmon won the 400 and 800 and was part of the 3,200 relay for the Gremlins.
Despite the defeat, the Falcons' Mike Himes had an outstanding meet, winning both hurdles events, as well as the long and triple jumps.
In the girls meet, Samantha Bly, Nicole Harmon and Amber Saunders each won two individual events in the Gremlins' 109-40 triumph.
In other meets:
• Brennan Bliss qualified for the District 9 meet in the shot put and discus while John Zanot and Colby Davis won a pair of events apiece in Union's 109-32 romp over Cranberry.
In the girls meet, Jenna Holden won the 100, 200 and long jump; Lepha Logue won the 800, 1,600 and triple jump and Tina Lipps won the shot put and javelin, but the Berries edged the Damsels 72-69.
• Eric Hillard took first place in the 1,600 and 800 runs and helped Moniteau's boys 3,200 relay squad to victory in a 78-72 win over Clarion.
