Josephine Montague
Josephine Kay "Joey" Montague, 65, of Ashley, Luzerne County, formerly of Petrolia, died at 8:30 p.m. March 13 at the Geisinger South Hospital, Wilkes-Barre, after a long illness.
Born in New Bethlehem, Sept. 2, 1942, she was a daughter of the late Theodore and Frances Weishman Rudish.
She was of Jewish descent and was raised in Petrolia and New Bethlehem.
Surviving are two daughters, Lisa Montague of Hanover Township and Sandra Montague of Ashley; a son, Patrick Montague of Wilkes-Barre; two grandchildren, Qwilleran and Rune Montague, both of Ashley; a brother, Ralph "Bud" Rudish and his wife, Mary, of Muncie, Ind.; a sister, Edna Campbell of Phoenix, Ariz.; and several nieces and nephews.
Her husband, Dudley A. Montague, whom she married Aug. 26, 1961, in Callensburg, died Nov. 29, 1992. She also was preceded in death by a sister, Hattie Barnhart.
