Helen E. Bowen, 92, formerly of Randy Drive, died at 8 a.m. Wednesday at Evie's County Care.

Born Jan. 4, 1916, in Butler, she was the daughter of Walter A. Kradel and Nellie Lardin.

She was a homemaker.

Mrs. Bowen was a member of St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran Church. She also was a member of the South Haven 500 Club.

She is survived by two sons, W. Allen "Shorty" and David C. Bowen, both of Butler; six grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; a great-great-granddaughter; three sisters, Mrs. Herbert (Agnes) Schmeider, Mrs. William (Myrtle) Bachman and Mrs. Robert (Wanda) Reimer, all of Butler; a brother, Richard L. Kradel of Tionesta; and a number of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer A. Bowen, who died Aug. 7, 1980; and by two sisters and three brothers.

<B>BOWEN</B> — Friends of Helen E. Bowen, who died Wednesday, March 19, 2008, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday and from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday at the <B>Thompson-Miller Funeral Home</B>, 124 E. North St. Services will follow at 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Alden Towberman, her church pastor, officiating.
