Gerald J. 'Gary' Pink
Gerald John "Gary" Pink, 47, of 226 Branchton Road, Slippery Rock Township, died at 3:25 a.m. Monday at his home after an approximate two-year illness.
Born in Grove City, July 15, 1960, he was a son of Joseph B. Pink and Betty Messer Pink Blahut.
He was a Protestant.
Mr. Pink, a 1978 graduate of Slippery Rock High School, attended Butler County Community College and gradated from Maryville College in Knoxville, Tenn.
He worked for Truefit Solutions in Cranberry Township as a computer programmer for 10 years. He also owned and operated Pink's Custom Computers in Slippery Rock for more than five years.
Surviving are his wife, Barbara K. Beatty Pink, whom he married July 28, 2000; three stepchildren, Brittany K., Zane O. and Zachary W. Barger, all at home; his father of Slippery Rock; his mother and stepfather, Joseph Blahut, of Greenville; two sisters and their husbands, Cathy A. and Jerry Dyer of Stoneboro and Carrie L. and Larry Lang of Harrisville; a brother, Jesse B. Pink and his wife, Gloria, of West Sunbury; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
<B>PINK</B> — Friends of Gerald John "Gary" Pink, who died Monday, March 17, 2008, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the <B>Smith Funeral Home</B>, 421 New Castle St., Slippery Rock. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the Slippery Rock United Methodist Church with the Rev. Pamela Gardner officiating.
