2:30 a.m. Thursday — Christopher Otto, 23, and Jeremy Watterson, 25, both of Butler, were charged with possession of drug paraphernalia following a traffic stop on Route 8 near Vogel Road in Penn Township. Otto, who had a warrant for his arrest, was taken to the Butler County Prison4:16 p.m. Tuesday — A car driven by Edward Haller, 89, of Mars struck the rear of a cargo truck on Meridian Road. Police said the truck was stopped and the driver, who was not identified, was making a delivery. Haller was treated at Butler Memorial Hospital for minor injuries.11:20 a.m. Tuesday — A 15-year-old student at Butler Intermediate High School was charged with theft after he allegedly took another student's iPod.

Monday — Police are investigating an alleged rape between 10:30 p.m. and midnight at a North Buffalo Township home. The alleged victim reported the sexual assault at 11:54 p.m. Tuesday. The accuser identified the alleged attacker.

Sunday — A doctor's bag and stethoscope as well as an iPod charger and transmitter were stolen from two unlocked cars at a Frew Mill Road home in Slippery Rock Township, Lawrence County.
