I'll quote Candice Perkins letter of April 16, 2008; then spoke with the YMCA president, Larry Garvin. With a negative tone, he suggested that the facility held no responsibility what so ever for the incident and also stated that the YMCA was not planning on taking any preventive measures going forward to reduce the chances of another incident such as this from happening.

I'm flabbergasted. It's a FAMILY center! Why would you not want to protect your patrons?

Question: The YMCA has been informed of this incident, if it happens again and they haven’t done anything to prevent this and someone is “hurt” in the future is the YMCA legally responsible?
