C. Lawsen Corlew
C. Lawsen Corlew, 84, of Butler died Thursday at Worthington at Adam in Mars.
Born May 10, 1923, in Essex, Mo., he was a son of the late W. Clarence and Kitty McCartney Corlew.
He was an engineer for the state of Illinois. He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the Navy.
Surviving are a son, Randall L. (Leslie) Corlew of Butler; a daughter, Rebecca S. Wingfield of Bates City, Mo.; three grandsons, Joshua Wingfield, Matthew Corlew and Nicholas Corlew.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Henderson Corlew, who he married Dec. 31, 1953, and who died Aug. 21, 2004. Also preceding him were six brothers and sisters.
