3:49 p.m. Sunday — Michael Brady, 39, of Cranberry Township was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Route 68 near North Eberhart Road.5:33 a.m. Sunday — David M. Cummings, 20, of Renfrew was arrested for suspicion of DUI after his vehicle struck mailboxes and damaged several properties along Meridian Road. Cummings, who was treated at Butler Memorial for minor injuries, also faces charges for underage drinking, driving too fast for conditions, careless driving and not wearing a seat belt.2:20 a.m. Sunday — John Tirk, 31, of Butler was arrested for suspicion of DUI and speeding on Route 8 near Cooledge Street.12:20 a.m. Sunday — Eric Thomas Deal, 27, of Butler was arrested for suspicion of DUI on New Castle Road.10:18 p.m. April 7 — Matthew Buczkowski, 19, of Slippery Rock was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence of a controlled substance on South DuffyRoad. He also faces charges of possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, and careless driving.

2 a.m. Monday — Katherine Kelly, 21, of Evans City was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on New Castle Road in Butler Township.Friday — An unknown would-be burglar between noon and 8:30 p.m. tried to break into a Brownsdale Road home in Forward Township. A white man in his 20s with red hair was seen in the area following the attempted break-in. Anyone with information about the case is asked to call police at 724-285-9600.

Thursday — A Ruger .357 Magnum, a wallet, sweatshirt and about $30 was stolen Wednesday or Thursday from a vehicle on Craigsville Road near Stoney Hollow Nursery in West Franklin Township. Gary Yantos of Worthington owns the stolen property.

1:38 p.m. Sunday — Apickup truck driven by John R. Kiser Jr., 33, of Valencia and a car driven by Gina Michaels, 24, of New Castle collided on Wilson Road in Union Township.Michaels and Arlene Pennington, 47, of New Castle, a passenger in the car, were treated at Jameson Hospital in New Castle for unknown injuries. Police said Kiser was cited for three undisclosed traffic violations.
