James David Wilson Jr., 76, of Slippery Rock Township died at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Orchard Manor Nursing Home in Grove City after a two-year illness.

Born in Audubon, Iowa, Jan. 26, 1932, he was the son of James D. Sr. and Meta K. Jensen Wilson.

He was a Navy veteran of the Korean War.

Mr. Wilson retired in 1991 from Slippery Rock University as a purchasing director. He formerly worked at Cooper Bessemer in Grove City and had owned his own TV and advertising agency in Norfolk, Va.

A Protestant, he was a member of Grove City Lodge 603 F&AM and the Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite Valley of New Castle. He enjoyed fishing, gardening and watching football.

Surviving are his wife, Imogene "Jean" Patrick Wilson, who he married April 3, 1961; two sons, Robert A. Wilson and his wife, Mylene, of Philadelphia and Kenneth E. Wilson and his wife, Anita, of Akron, Ohio; a sister, Patricia Dicks and her husband, William, of New Castle; and six grandchildren.

<B>WILSON </B>— Friends of James David Wilson Jr., who died Tuesday, March 11, 2008, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at <B>Smith Funeral Home</B>, 421 New Castle St., Slippery Rock. Private funeral services will be held Friday at the funeral home with the Jason Schepp, CLP, of East Brook Presbyterian Church, officiating. Burial will be at Slippery Rock Cemetery.Grove City Lodge 607 F&AM will hold a Masonic service at 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
