William B. Shaffer
William B. Shaffer, 53, of Valencia died Sunday at UPMC Passavant Hospital.
Born Oct. 11, 1954, in Tarentum, he was the beloved son of Lois Williams Maxwell of Valencia and the late George Shaffer.
He was a maintenance electrician for Kenson Plastics in Warrendale.
Mr. Shaffer was a member of the John E. Mair Lodge 729 F&AM, where he was a 32nd degree Mason; the Syria Shrine, where he was past captain of the Syria Shrine Patrol; a social member of the Mars VFW; and a charter member of the Culmerville Sportsmen's Club.
He was the beloved husband of Deborah Tucker Shaffer, who he married Sept. 27, 1981; loving father of Walter Shaffer of Slippery Rock and Jessica Shaffer of Valencia; dear grandfather of Curtis Shaffer of Slippery Rock; grandson of Bonnie Lynn Shaffer of Saxonburg; brother of George (Elaine) Shaffer of Culmerville, Lois (Keith) Petrosky of New Jersey and Randy (Suzanne) Shaffer of Valencia; and half-brother of Martha (David) Whitehair of West Virginia.
He also was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas Shaffer; a half-brother, Robert Shaffer; and his stepfather, Wilfred Maxwell.

Shaffer, who died Sunday, March 9, 2008, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the <B>Schellhaas Funeral Home</B>, 5864 Heckert Road, Bakerstown. Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev. Paul Lubold officiating.
