Losser

Michael Losser, 76, of Butler died Sunday at his home of natural causes.

Born Nov. 17, 1931, in Pittsburgh, he was a son of Michael Losser and Maryann Olsholski Frye.

Mr. Losser was a devoted Catholic and attended St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church.

He enjoyed helping others, working and mostly being with his family.

He worked at the BP service station on East Jefferson Street for 25 years. In the early 1970s, he was a volunteer firefighter for the Greenwood Village Fire Department.

He is survived by three sons, Christopher "Mike" Losser and his wife, Wendy, Kenneth Smith and his wife, Sue, and Brion Howard and his wife Teresa, all of Butler; four daughters, Michele Newfield and her husband, Rick Newfield and Mary Wiley and her husband, Dan Wiley, all of Florida, and Christine Switzer and her companion, David, and Dawn Losser and her companion, Ray, all of Butler; a stepson, Paul Koch of Export; a brother and his wife, Alfred and Phyllis Frye of Butler; 26 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 23 years, Catherine "Cathy" Higgins Losser, a granddaughter, and two brothers.

<B>LOSSER</B> —<B> </B>Friends of Michael Losser, who died Sunday, March 9, 2008, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the <B>Geibel Funeral Home</B>, 201 E. Cunningham St. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev. James Dolan officiating.
