Marilyn Iden and Vonda Mishler will present the special music for the Sunday worship service at the Butler Church of the Nazarene, 4410 Oakdale Road and Route 68. The Rev. Ron Reagle will speak beginning at 10:45 a.m. The "Moments with Missions" service will be at 6 p.m.

The Rev. Don Chamberlain will speak for the 7 p.m. Wednesday worship.

Community Life Church holds services at McQuistion Elementary School.The church is collecting pasta and spaghetti sauce each Sunday during April for the St. Vincent DePaul Food Cupboard.The youth group will attend the "Acquire the Fire" conference May 2 to 3 in Pittsburgh. Teens may sign up for the event.

The Kerygma Bible study, "Hosanna! A Spiritual Journey through Holy Week," will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday in the Assembly Room at 230 E. Jefferson St.The Seekers Class will meet at 9:30 a.m. Sunday in the Assembly Room. The class will view and discuss a DVD on Israel in Roman Times.

Faith Fellowship Alliance Church, 200 Faithway-Fared Drive, announces the following new classes that will begin Sunday: "The Shekinah Glory and the Anointing," adult class with Pastor Dick, in the overflow area; "Breakaway" Break Out of the Crowd, youth and college class with Pastor Jeff, in the youth building; "The Jesus I Never Knew" video series with Phillip Yancey, adult class with Jim and Eilene Ishler, in the sanctuary; "Kids 4 Truth" club, ages 3 through sixth grade, in the lower level.

The public is invited to attend a CPR/defibrillator demonstration at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at Faith United Presbyterian Church, 1329 N. Main St. Ext.

An "Apples of Gold" Bible study, sponsored by First Baptist Church, 221 W. New Castle St., will be held at 7 p.m. today in the home of Debbie Broad.First Baptist Church will be among congregations participating in a workday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at Slippery Rock Baptist Camp, 130 Elliott Lane, Worth Township. A paintball event will take place at the same location from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Both activities will involve churches associated with the Association of Independent Baptist Churches of Western Pennsylvania.Women from AIBCWP churches will participate in a Women's Missionary Fellowship meeting from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Calvary Baptist Church in New Stanton. A van will leave First Baptist Church for the meeting at 8 a.m.The church will conduct baptisms at the 10:55 a.m. Sunday service and celebrate Communion at the 6 p.m. service.

The church will have the second Sunday luncheon following the morning service at the church on Washington Street, Evans City.

Glade Run United Presbyterian Church, 1091 Pittsburgh Road, Valencia, will hold the annual women's retreat Friday through Sunday at the Laurelville Mennonite Church Center. For more information, call Pam at 724-779-9702.The annual youth group and mission team yard sale will be from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. April 18 and from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 19. Donations may be left at the church from 7 until 9 p.m. April 17.

The youth group will have a Guy's Night at the Church and a Girl's Night at the Wagner's home from 8 p.m. Friday until 9 a.m. Saturday.There will be a Family Fun Night at 7 p.m. Friday at the church. Families are asked to take a game.Sunday will be New Member Recognition Day at the church at 123 E. Diamond Street, Butler. A cookie and drink reception will follow the morning service.

The youth handbell choirs will perform at the 10:30 a.m. Sunday service of Hill United Presbyterian Church, 501 Second St. The Rev. John and Heather Porter will deliver a dialogue sermon about their Ghanaian pastoral exchange.The "Memories of Hill" committee is seeking old photographs of church members and activities in preparation for the church's 100th anniversary.The Betsy McCormick Women's Circle will participate in the Pittsburgh Multiple Sclerosis Walk on April 20 at Heinz Field. The Christian Education committee will hold a reception to welcome new youth director Sean Bruker from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Sunday at the church on Crowe Avenue in Mars.A progressive dinner will be held at 5:30 p.m. Saturday.

The annual church rummage sale will be offered from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday in the church Fellowship Hall at 727 Old West 422. Donation items may be dropped off at the church on Friday. The proceeds of this sale will benefit the mission scholarship fund program.The worship services on Sunday will feature the mission team that served in Slidell, La., last February.

The board of directors of North Main Street Church of God, 1201 N. Main St. Ext., will meet at 7 p.m. today in the conference room.The Hoppers, America's favorite family of gospel music, will be in concert at 7 p.m. Friday in the sanctuary. No tickets are required. Old Union Presbyterian Church, 200 Union Church Road, Mars, will hold its Soup Supper Saturday. This week's fellowship dinner has been canceled because of the supper.Tickets are available for the May 3 Spring Tea.

Zion Lutheran Church, 266 Zion Church Road, Concord Township, will have a spaghetti dinner from 3:30 to 6 p.m. Saturday. Tickets are $7 for adults, $3 for children ages 6 to 12 and children 5 and under are admitted free. Carryouts will be available. Tickets will be sold at the door and by any Zion member. The dinner is supported by Thrivent Financial for Lutherans, aiding the church ministry.The Sacrament of Holy Communion will be shared at the 9 a.m. Sunday service. Parish council will meet at 7 p.m. Monday at Springdale Lutheran.

The Mission Encounter Team needs volunteers to make breakfast casseroles for April 20. Volunteers may contact Amy Haponski.Along with other area churches, Zion will offer a course called "Share Your Faith" from 1:30 to 5:30 p.m. Sunday. Steve Evans of the Steve Wingfield Evangelistic Association will speak. The course is free and child care is available. Those interested in attending may sign up in the narthex.
