Denise Beth Murray, 51, of Zelienople died Saturday, March 1, 2008, after an unexpected illness.

Born April 25, 1956, in West Palm Beach, Fla., she was the daughter of Arlene Keck McCandless of Zelienople and the late Howard L. McCandless Jr.

Denise was manager for the tri-state area for Regis Hair Salons, but her top priority was spending time with her children, family and friends. She loved traveling, reading, gardening, decorating, shopping, scrap booking and photography.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her daughter, Nicole Murray-Bouris and her husband, Tim, of North Hills; her son, Tyler Murray of Zelienople; a brother, Michael D. McCandless and his wife, Dianne, of Ellwood City; two sisters, Karen Schomaker and her husband, Bill, of Harmony and Diane Robinson and her husband, Ray, of Rockwood; sisters in her heart, Marian Mann, Beth Shoaf and Lisa Carlin; and godson Ryan Mann.

She also is survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, and 11 nieces and nephews. She is also survived by the father of her children, Daniel Murray of Ohio.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Gayle and Raymond Keck, and her paternal grandparents, Virginia and Howard McCandless.
