Carol Lee Campbell
In loving memory of our beloved Carol Lee Campbell who passed away fifty years ago today, April 3, 1958
"SHE'S IN GOD'S CARE"A beautiful day, 'twas April the third,But it passed swiftly, like a beautiful bird; For God had looked down on sorrow, that day,And stared at a crash, on a certain highway. He saw a young lass, whom He loved very much,And heard a cry of pain, and He knew He must touch;Where tragedy had struck its unfailing blow,To harm one of God's children, on this earth below. So He called this young lass to His home above,To sit beside Him, like a beautiful dove;He loved her so much, that He could not bear,To see any pain on her face so fair. Then He had another job, of consoling the loss,For He wanted their faith, no matter what the loss,And the mourners who came in solemn despair; To comfort Mom and Dad and all who did care.He thought of the past, and remembered too,Of not so many years ago, what they had been through; An accident of the highway, about the same way,That had happened almost nineteen years before to the day.He knew the world would miss this loving young lass,His work on earth for her, had ended at last; But He thought of the heartaches for Mom and Dad,For He knew he had taken the best North Washington had!We will always remember her being so gay,Even up to that very last day;And the work she has done, in the name of the Lord,She gave Him, the best she could afford. And the tears we shed, for her today,Are nothing compared to the memories, along the way;Because we all know, how happy she is now,And know some day, we'll see her somehow. So comfort Mom and Dad, God, and also sister too,Because sometimes it gets so bad, we don't know what to do;And also try to make us understand,That life is best in that Promised Land.
