Neff, McCaslin lead Moniteau past Grove City
Amber Neff banged out three hits and Maura McCaslin surrendered just three hits in seven innings as the Moniteau softball team opened the season with a 5-3 win at Grove City Friday afternoon.
Michael Cousins singled home two runs for the Warriors.
McCaslin struck out nine for the win.
Chelsea Filer picked up the loss despite striking out 10 batters for the Eagles.

• Courtney Grootegoed homered and also twirled a shutout in the circle as Seneca Valley took care of Hempfield 6-0.
Alicia DiMaria doubled, singled and drove in three runs for the Raiders (2-0).

Tyler Slepski collected four hits with a run scored and an RBI as Butler defeated Fox Chapel 13-2 on Thursday.Kyle Carson and Alex Ziegler both pitched well in the victory.
