Avada Hearing & Balance Center

Avada Hearing & Balance Center and its predecessor began over 50 years ago right here in Butler. Today, Avada's mission statement reflects the many years of excellent patient care provided to folks not only in Butler but across the United States.

Avada's mission statement is to provide the best quality hearing care by using the highest levels of professionalism, technology, and service to assure outstanding patient satisfaction.

Quality hearing care includes individualized treatment programs specifically designed for each individual taking into consideration their lifestyle, hearing levels and budget. When a person comes to Avada, the experience is unique and customized for their particular needs. We realize that every person is different so a custom treatment plan must be designed for maximum satisfaction.

Avada's knowledgeable and caring health care professionals are among the highest trained and most respected in the industry.

William Yost and Schon Slagle are both Board Certified Hearing Instrument Specialists. Mark Dickson, MS, CCC-A is a clinical audiologist and directs Avada's Balance and Dizziness Clinic. He also serves as an adjunct professor for the University of Pittsburgh, helping to train future doctors of audiology.

Mark has been practicing for over 20 years and is a member of the Vestibular Disorders Association. He has helped thousands understand why they are dizzy and assists them in improving the quality of their lives.

Avada's commitment to providing the very latest in hearing technology continues with the recent announcement of the world's first Bluetooth hearing instrument we call Blulink. Blulink not only connects the user to telephones, iPods and TV's, but also to other people by providing the most advanced speech clarity in quiet or in noisy environments.

The most popular hearing instrument offered by Avada today is nothing like an ordinary hearing aid. We call it the Arris-PHD and it is a personal hearing device.

It hides very discreetly and is virtually invisible. It enhances speech while smartly managing background noise.

The advanced design and stylish look of the new PHD eclipses that of any modern electronic communication device and comes in 14 colors.

Avada was co-founded by Butler resident Russ Hearn in 2000. Today it consists of over 235 professional hearing care centers nationwide, with 12 centers in Western Pennsylvania.
