3:48 p.m. Wednesday — Rebecca Bodema, 63, of Butler was injured in a freak accident caused by her runaway Nissan.Bodema told police she had parked the car on Watson Avenue and got her grandson out of the back seat. But moments later, the vehicle began to roll off northbound on the road.She later told police she apparently had forgotten to secure the car shift in the park position.The woman took off after the vehicle and managed to open the front passenger door; however just as she was climbing into the car, it hit the rear of a building at 916 Center Avenue, pinning her against the car and the structure.Bodema suffered minor injuries. The building was not damaged.

Tuesday — Kenneth Lee Gratzinger II, 22, of Butler was arrested for allegedly stealing several guitars and other musical equipment in the Feb. 29 break-in of a Bon Aire home.Police said the stolen items were later recovered in the Pittsburgh area.Gratzinger, who is in the Butler County Prison on $25,000 bail, is charged with burglary, trespass, theft, receiving stolen property and theft by deception.

Friday — An unknown thief stole $130 in donations for the Muscular Dystrophy Association that had been collected at the Citgo service station on Main Street in Rimersburg. The money was stolen out of a bank envelope between March 7 and Friday. Anyone with information is asked to call the barracks at 814-226-1710.
