4:05 a.m. Tuesday — Raven Gray, 21, was arrested for allegedly hitting her boyfriend with a glass candle jar she threw at him during a dispute at the couple's Mercer Road home. John McCarthy, 27, suffered a cut to his head. Gray is charged with simple assault and harassment.
3:18 a.m. today — James R. Ross Jr., 42, of Slippery Rock was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after he was found asleep behind the wheel of his vehicle at Sunset and Shanahan drives in Center Township.The vehicle was in drive and Ross' foot was on the brake. Police said after attempts to wake up Ross failed, they had to break one of the windows to get inside the vehicle.3 a.m. Tuesday — A Slippery Rock couple face charges following a domestic dispute at their New Castle Road home. Melissa Nemanic, 27, is charged with simple assault and harassment, and Clair Greenway, 31, is charged with harassment.1:56 a.m. Tuesday — Christopher Spudic, 23, of Cranberry Township was arrested for suspicion of DUI at Routes 108 and 173 in Slippery Rock.1:45 a.m. Tuesday — Lauren Verbanic, 19, of Slippery Rock was arrested for suspicion of DUI at Cooper and Main streets in Slippery Rock.4:43 a.m. Sunday — An unknown hit-and-run driver crashed into a fence and guide wire along Valvoline Drive in East Butler before fleeing. Marmon Keystone owns the fence.2:30 p.m. Friday — A 14-year-old boy is accused of setting off the fire alarm at the Moniteau Junior/Senior High School in Cherry Township. Police said the boy is charged with disorderly conduct.
11:59 a.m. Saturday — A minivan driven by Shelby Leitem, 38, of Butler and a sport utility vehicle driven by Judith Adamczyk, 56, of New Castle collided on West State Street in Union Township. After the collision, Leitem's vehicle hit a car driven by Jeffrey Hoy, 58, of New Wilmington.
