GOOD FRIDAY BREAKFASTS
The following Good Friday breakfasts are being offered in and around Butler County:
• Meridian United Presbyterian Church, 4150 Highland Ave., will host a Good Friday family breakfast at 6:30 a.m. March 21. A biblical portrayal by Mark McCoy will follow.
Deadline for reservations is March 19. Call 724-482-2630.
• Nixon United Methodist Church, 334 Airport Road, will host its 17th annual Good Friday breakfast at 7:30 a.m. March 21 in the church social hall.
Guest speaker is the Rev. Kathy Mikesell of Zion United Methodist Church in Sarver. Program topic is "Out of Pain Comes Joy." Tim Lucas will also provide a solo selection.

• First United Methodist Church will host a women's Good Friday breakfast from 7 to 8 a.m. March 21 in the grand ballroom at Cornerstone Commons on Main Street.
Guest speaker is Bishop Thomas Bickerton. Child care will be available in the church nursery on East North Street from 6:30 to 8:30 a.m.

• The Saxonburg-Sarver Ministerium will host a free community-wide pizza breakfast for students in grades six through 12 at 11 a.m. March 21 at Buffalo Presbyterian Church, 678 Sarver Road, Sarver.
All-you-care-to-eat pizza, cold vegetable platters and beverages are on the menu.
Donations will be received for the Nothing But Nets malaria relief effort. New Life Christian Ministries' praise team will lead the praise time. Brad French, student ministries leader at New Life, will speak.

• Zion United Methodist Church, 438 Bear Creek Road, Sarver, will host a free breakfast for women and children at 9 a.m. March 21.
A worship service will begin at 9:45 a.m. with the Rev. Alyce Weaver-Dunn of Trinity United Methodist Church in Brackenridge.
Children up to fifth grade will have their own special worship service and activities after the breakfast.
• A Good Friday breakfast for men will be offered at 7 a.m. March 21 at the Evans City Fire Hall, 124 N. Jackson St.
The Rev. David Saylor of St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Evans City will speak.
Tickets are available at LAW Clothing and at Evans City Auto Parts, both on Main Street in Evans City.
• A Good Friday breakfast is set for 7:30 a.m. March 21 at the YWCA, 120 W. Cunningham St.
Gloria Dudt of Claysville, an inspirational speaker, bakery owner and vocalist affiliated with Stonecroft Ministries, will speak.
Tickets are available on a first-come, first-served basis at the YWCA.
