William and Marion Brethauer

William and Marion Brethauer of Portersville celebrated 50 years of marriage recently with a family dinner.

The former Marion Brautigam married Brethauer on March 8, 1958, in Virginia.

They have five children, Eric Brethauer of Portersville; Michele Shaffer and Laura Hawkins, both of Slippery Rock; Brenda Herold of Princeton; and Kirk Brethauer of Prospect.

They also have nine grandchildren.

Brethauer is retired from the Sheet Metal Worker's Local Union 12.

Mrs. Brethauer is a homemaker.

The couple belongs to Zelienople Church of the Nazarene.
