Mary 'JoAnne' and Paul Bowser

Paul and Mary "JoAnne" Bowser of Karns City will celebrate 50 years of marriage with an open house from 4 to 7 p.m. March 21 at the Church of God of Prophecy, Kittanning Pike, Karns City.

The former JoAnne Barger married Bowser on March 6, 1958, in Adrian.

They have three children, Brenda Reitler of Akron, Ohio; Susan Kelley of Monongahela; and Barb Ion of Karns City.

They also have 17 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Bowser is a retired construction laborer. He belongs to the Laborers' International Union Local 323 and the VFW in Parker.

Mrs. Bowser is a homemaker and works as a part-time nurse's aide. She belongs to the Church of God of Prophecy in Karns City.
