5:08 p.m. Tuesday — A sport utility vehicle driven by Tavia Lynch, 32, of Saxonburg and a pickup truck driven by Terry Omecinski, 53, of New Kensington, Westmoreland County, collided at Saxonburg Boulevard and Route 228 in Clinton Township.1:30 p.m. Tuesday — No one was injured in a four-vehicle crash on Interstate 79 in Muddy Creek Township.Police said the crash occurred when a car driven by Thomas Krug Jr., 28, of Brookville, Jefferson County, which had been stopped on the berm of the highway, pulled onto the road and forced Emil Cable, 54, of Harmony to swerve his Peterbilt truck.The truck struck the side of an SUV driven by Anthony Schiavo III, 31, of Mercer, causing the SUV to spin around and into Krug's car. The SUV traveled off the road and struck a guardrail before traveling back onto the highway.Another Peterbilt truck, driven by John Berry, 52, of Minneapolis, Minn., then struck the SUV. Police said Krug was cited for an illegal turn and not using turn signals, and Schiavo was cited for a lighting violation and driving with an expired registration.Tuesday — An unknown thief between Saturday and Tuesday siphoned about 80 gallons of diesel fuel from the gas tank of a tractor-trailer parked in a lot on Herman Road at the Butler-Summit Township line.Tuesday — Atool box with tools was taken from a vehicle on Meadow Lane in Slippery Rock Township between 10 p.m. Monday and 2 p.m. Tuesday. Michele Bell of Slippery Rock owns the stolen property, valued at $300.4 p.m. Monday — Tammy Ashbaugh of Venango Township told police that she was defrauded of $300 for the purchase of an English bulldog puppy.The woman said she sent the money via Western Union to the New Jersey seller listed in a newspaper classified ad; however, she never received delivery of the dog. Police said the fraud and theft case is under investigation.Monday — Kelly Zak reported that a .38-caliber handgun, jewelry, clothing and two cell phones were taken in a burglary at her Stamm Lane home in Franklin Township.Monday — Mark Locke reported that someone between Dec. 15 and Monday broke into his Driftwood Drive home and took a 32-inch Toshiba television.1 p.m. Friday — An unknown thief stole two game packs of Instant Lottery tickets at the Rummy Mart on South Main Street in Chicora.Feb. 21 — Alaptop computer was stolen from a vehicle on Fairview Road in Washington Township. The Community Counseling Center of Hermitage, Mercer County, owns the vehicle.
3:15 p.m. Friday — A van driven by Jared Jordan, 24, of Parker crashed into a guardrail on Interstate 80 in Richland Township.Feb. 15 — A 22-year-old woman is suspected of stealing six fentanyl patches from a 71-year-old woman at the victim's Kelly Way home in East Brady. Police did not identify the suspect. The patches are valued at $145.
