I just wanted to say I totally agree with everyone talking about people having kids just for the welfare checks every month, and that something does need to be done about it. Drug testing, the government cutting people off after so many kids. Just something. The USA is already in debt, and the government helping supply the drug problem isn't making the problem go away.

Also though I want to stick up for the unwed mothers out there that don't ask for government help, made their "mistakes", aren't on drugs, and are doing everything they possibly can to give their child/children a good life. For I am one of them. I had my 3 kids when I was 17, 19, and 21. I work, make sure they have food in their mouths, clean clothes, an education, and anything else they need. I don't do drugs, don't drink, nor do I get help from the government. My son's father ran the minute I told him I was pregnant. My other two's dad stuck around, and finally after a few years we married. I didn't have my tubes tied until after my 3rd child, because all the doctor's felt I was "to young" to make that decision. So after a big fight with a different doctor I finally at 22 got tied. I made that decision, because it was only fair to my other 3 kids. So just so everyone on here knows not all of us unwed mothers are bad.

Also as far as the rebate tax on the children...mine goes into a savings account for my children's college funds.

There are a few of us out there that might have been teenagers, and unwed, but we are doing our best, and doing what is right for our kids.
