Earl L. Peschel

Earl L. Peschel, 87, of Kittanning died Saturday at ACMH Hospital.

Born Feb. 18, 1920, in Reading, he was the son of George W. and Anna Peschel.

He retired from the Naval Ordinance of the federal government. He also was a conductor on the Reading Railroad.

He was an Army veteran of World War II.

He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Kittanning.

He is survived by his wife, Joan Peschel; five stepdaughters, Kay Bigley of Sligo, Linda Hutchison of Chicora, Elaine Scarnato of Butler, Susan Leopold of East Brady, and Andrea Hillwig of Kaylor; 11 step grandchildren; and 14 great-step grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Ruth Peschel; a brother, Orville Peschel, and a sister, Eleanor.

<B>PESCHEL</B>— Services were private and held today for Earl L. Peschel, who died Saturday, Jan. 19, 2008. The Rev. James Higgins, assisted by the Rev. Carl Johnson, officiated at <B>Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home</B> in Kittanning.Burial is in Oak Grove Cemetery.
