SARVER — The FCAGems All-Star Cheerleading program, a division of Flo's Gymnastics, is ranked seventh in the nation based on results from the 2006-07 competitive season.

The Gems consist of more than 200 girls from more than 30 school districts. They will compete in Atlanta this weekend at the largest national cheering competition in the country.

Ranked ahead of the Gems are Cheer Athletics of Dallas, Stingray All-Stars of Marietta, Ga., World Cup of Freehold, N.J., Gym Tyme of Louisville, Ky., Cheer Extreme All-Stars of Raleigh, N.C., and Spirit of Texas in Arlington, Texas.

CLARION — The Karns City girls basketball team will face Kane at noon Saturday at Clarion University while the Gremlins boys team will play Cranberry at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the same venue.The games are the second and third games of four playoff contests.
