Gerard A. Krenach Sr.
Gerard A. "Jerry" Krenach Sr., 70, of Valencia, formerly of Wexford, died Thursday evening at his home.
He was born in Pittsburgh, Jan. 13, 1937.
Prior to his retirement, he was the general manager of Kerr's Furniture in Butler and previously had worked at the North Side Furniture Store and Martin's Furniture in West View.
He had attended the St. Alphonsus Roman Catholic Church in Wexford.
He was an Army veteran and had served as a cryptographer in West Germany in 1956 and 1957 after the Korean War.
Surviving are his wife, Marlene C. Julius Krenach, whom he married Aug. 4, 1962; a daughter, Michele L. Heasley and her husband, Roy Edwin "Ed" Heasley, of Forest Hill, Md.; a son, Gerard A. "Jerry" Krenach Jr. and his wife, Jane, of Garrison, N.Y.; a brother, William M. Krenach and his wife, Eileen, of Valencia; and two grandchildren, Cara and Ty Heasley.

"Jerry" Krenach Sr., who died Thursday, Jan. 10, 2008, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the <B>McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home</B>, 238 Crowe Ave., Mars. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at the St. Kilian Roman Catholic Church in Mars with the Rev.
