Carol E. Jacobs, 73, of Butler died at 3:25 p.m. Wednesday at her home.

Born July 15, 1934, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of Roy and Genevieve Buchanan Fennell.

Mrs. Jacobs was a clerk for Department of Motor Vehicles.

She was a Protestant.

Surviving are two daughters, Tracey Newhart and Michael Winterbottom, both of Butler, and Elaine Butler and her fiancé, Larry Gaiser, of East Brady; eight grandchildren, Miriah, Eli, Angelina, Eric, Joshua, Cameron, Jeremy and Lyndsay; and a number of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Vincent Surra, who died Jan. 13, 2004; a sister; and two brothers.
