Kathryn A. Hagan
Kathryn A. Hagan, 49, of Parker died at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Montefiore Hospital, Specialty Care, Pittsburgh after a long illness.
Born Jan. 22, 1958, in Oil City, she was the daughter of Kimberly R. and Elsie E. Moyer Michael, who both died in October 1992.
She was a 1975 graduate of Allegheny-Clarion Valley School at Foxburg and was trained as a radiology technician at Franklin Hospital after graduation.
Kathy was employed for more than 20 years in Boyers, first at the Office of Personnel Management, later USIS, and then returned to O.P.M., where she was employed at the time of her passing.
She was a member of the Parker United Methodist Church, where she worked on many activities and was a Sunday school teacher. She also was a member of the ladies auxiliary of VFW Post 7073 of Parker and had been a longtime member of the former American Legion Post 598 Ladies Auxiliary, also of Parker.
Kathy was a member and past president of the ladies auxiliary of the Parker City Volunteer Fire Department, member and past treasurer of the Recreation Association of Parker, past treasurer of Clearfield Recreation of Parker and was a quite active member and past treasurer of the Allegheny-Clarion Valley School Music Boosters.
Surviving are her husband, Jeffrey N. "Jeff" Hagan, whom she married Nov. 23, 1977; two daughters, Raelene Elizabeth Hagan-Bowan and her husband, Rodney, of Akron, Ohio, and Emily Ann Hagan and her companion, Jason Custer, of Rimersburg; a granddaughter, Kendra Elizabeth Bowan of Akron; her parents-in-law, Alby and Pat Hagan of Parker; two sisters, Kimberly Rae Murphy and her husband, Steve, of Butler and Elizabeth Marie Weiler and her husband, Chuck, of Jensen, Mich.; and a brother, Lawrence "Larry" Michael and his wife, Robin, of St. Petersburg, Pa. A number of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins also survive.
<B>HAGAN</B> — Friends of Kathryn A. Hagan, who died Friday, Jan. 4, 2008, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the <B>H. Jack Buzard Funeral Home</B>, Wayne Street, Parker. Funeral service, with no viewing, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Parker United Methodist Church with the Rev. Kenneth Hughes, associate pastor, officiating.
